Play TENNIS surrounded by vineyards and farmland. Tennis Coaching is sometimes available. Play GOLF at several clubs only 30 - 55 minutes drive away. Our rural location, ideally situated for exploring this beautiful Anjou area of France, is less than 15 minutes drive from market towns and supermarkets.

With 2 bedrooms using optional second en-suite bedroom in the adjacent Farm House :- LOW Season:- £375/€515. MID Season:- £475/€650. HIGH Season:- £550/€750. PEAK Season:- £600/€800
LOW Season:- March, April and from 18th October.
MID Season:- May and from 19th Sept. - 18th October.
HIGH Season:- June up to 5th July and 29th August up to 19th Sept.
PEAK Season:- 5th July up to 29th August.
There may be additional Heating Charges in Low Season and October, depending on the weather temperatures at the time.
MINIMUM RENTAL 3 DAYS although we will only consider less than whole week bookings from 5th July - 29th August at the last moment.
DISCOUNT for 6 days, LESS 10%; for 5 days LESS 20%; for 4 days LESS 30%; for 3 days LESS 35%.
Easter (April break) is MID season rates.
Whitsun (May/June half-term) is HIGH rates.
B&B in the FARMHOUSE - Accommodation in the 2 upstairs EN-SUITE bedrooms. Both have AIR-CONDITIONING in summer and zip-link beds for 3'twins or superking double. Cotton linen and XL shower towels included. Use of heated swimming pool included with NO RESTRICTIONS ON TIMES FOR USE. Use is unlimited but shared with the owners and any other guests in the Cottage and Farmhouse.
Charges: En-suite Room for 2 with breakfast, £45/€60 - 2 night minimum stay.

|  | Our relaxing gites and Chambre d'hote are easily reached within a few hours from all the channel ferryports. Caen 195 miles (3.45hrs) and Boulogne 335 miles (just over 5hrs). Most of the journey can be done on motorways/dual carriageways.
Les Deux Chenes is 18 miles south-west of Saumur, a famous chateau town on the River Loire and 35 miles south-east of another famous chateaux town - Angers. Our holiday home in Deux Sevres is on the border with Maine et Loire. Our tiny hamlet, Basse Baffrie, is situated between the pretty chateau town of Montreuil-Bellay (9 miles east); the modern town of Doue-la-Fontaine (8 miles north); and the market town of Thouars (10 miles south). Under 2 miles away our local village, Bouille Loretz has a baker, butchers, post office, corner shop, tabac bar and church.
Our local airports of ANGERS, POITIERS, TOURS AND NANTES are served by several LOW COST AIRLINES from the UK including Ryanair, Easyjet and Eastern Airways
FERRIES - apart from ex-south coast of England, Ferries go from Harwich to Hook of Holland; Hull to Zeebrugge; and from Ireland Rosslare to Cherbourg.
The SEASIDE OF THE VENDEE and La Rochelle are approximately 80 miles away.

Doue la Fontaine is famous for its ROSE GARDENS, beautifully landscaped CONSERVATION ZOO, CAVES and old TROGLODYTE DWELLINGS. Near Saumur you can tour and taste at the famous SPARKLING WINE HOUSES and visit the NATIONAL RIDING SCHOOL. The whole of the LOIRE VALLEY area has many CHATEAUX with stunning architecture and steeped in history. Henry II of England and this area, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine and one of their sons, Richard the Lionheart are buried at Fontevraud Abbey - 30 minutes away.
For days out, the PUY DU FOU, 40 miles and less than an hour, has a medieval theme park with exciting shows and the night show is spectacular and moving.
FUTUROSCOPE is less than an hour away with several cinemas producing a cinema 'extravaganza'. FISHING is popular on local rivers and lakes and 'PESCALIS' (international fishing centre) near Bressuire is 45 minutes away. This southern side of the Loire Valley has abundant wild life, especially bird life. All our local towns have a weekly outdoor market.
For the more ACTIVE there are several GOLF COURSES, which welcome visitors. We belong to the Golf Club at Saumur; BOATS/KAYAKS on local rivers; an OUTDOOR CLIMBING CENTRE; SQUASH & BADMINTON COURTS; GO KARTING; QUAD BIKING; RIDING SCHOOLS;A SAILING/WINDSURFING SCHOOL AT SAUMUR; and children's ACTIVITY/ADVENTURE CENTRES that also have a WATERSLIDE.
WINE TASTING - we are spoilt in this area with the many Anjou wines - Reds, different whites, and roses, dry, medium and sweet as well as Cremant de Loire sparkling wine. We can arrange for you to visit a local viticulturist who will speak English.
Here at Les Deux Chenes you can PLAY TENNIS, TABLE TENNIS, SWIM, use our PRACTICE GOLF NET and use our equipment for various outdoor games. We also provide some inflatable toys/games for the pool.
